Third time’s the charm!
IT IS OFFICIAL PCN MONTH! It’s time to get down to business because we have about four weeks to SHOWTIME. We’ll repeat that. FOUR WEEKS UNTIL SHOW TIME! W-I-L-D.
What better way to kick off PCN month than with our third and final run-thrus on Sunday, April 7th at 9AM in Locatelli.
Same schedule, same rules, but with one new addition:
The Haranistas de Manila, the live musicians for our show, will be joining us. It is extremely important that you make it to this run-thru because they are a world-renowned Filipino Folk Music Group and we are extremely lucky to have them accompany us. This is your only chance to practice with the actual music / pace that will be played during the show before show nights.
WHO: All cast members. Skit kids, come through!
WHAT: PCN Third Run-Thrus
WHEN: Sunday, April 7 at 9:00AM sharp – 2:00PM (at the latest)
WHY: This run-thru should run roughly around the same time as second run-thrus.
WHAT TO EXPECT: The Haranistas add a different element to the performance; dancing to live music feels different than dancing to a recorded track. So it’s time to get comfortable dancing with the actual music you’ll be performing to. Plus, we’ll continue to dive in to the skit and embrace different perspectives!
CAST SHIRTS
This year’s PCN theme is all about embracing perspectives. Since we each have our own unique stories and perspectives on life, the cast shirts showcase the faces of fellow Filipinos, FilAms, and friends – recognize any?
Cast shirts are important for many reasons! A couple of these reasons include to remember your participation in this unique journey forever 🙂 and to publicize the show a bit to encourage our community to attend! After the days, weeks, and months spent working on this show, we deserve to share the culture with a full crowd.
This form is due by SUNDAY, APRIL 7th (same as 3rd run thrus!). Cast shirts will be distributed during HELL WEEK (April 22-26).

Some Tips and Reminders for 3rd Run-Thrus
- Free breakfast and dranks
- Bring your chocolate monies to turn into Kristina and Rocio. You must submit at least $50 (and the chocolates you didn’t sell) or all $60.
- Review your Dances and Lines. It’s been three weeks since we’ve had practice and we have basically three weeks until show time. It’s been a hot minute. So watch the videos and grab a fellow dance and practice together. Run through your lines in front of your roommates or suitemates. YOU GOT THIS! Everyone looked SO good during 2nd Run-Thrus, we know you can do it again for 3rd Run-Thrus.
- Talk to your JP! Talk to someone new! Make some new friends and rack up those JP points. The competition is getting fierce!
- Practice Lupang Hinirang, the Filipino National Anthem. This is how we open up the entire show so it is EXTREMELY important that you know the lyrics. Practice a verse a day and you should be good by show-time. Bonus JP points if you post a video of you and your JP singing the anthem on the PCN FB page?!
- Bring your homework (although it’s only Week 1 so maybe not lol) and your laptops
